Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at fl.transitions::TransitionManager$/start()
at utils::Fader$/fadeIn()
at jsitges_fla::MainTimeline/frame2()

same error as before but this is it in a simple post.

Much appreciated. Although, im using CS4 and i´m having some trouble with the utils.fader. The exact error is 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method fadeIn through a reference with static type Class.

Hi, I have used this tutorial to build my own portfolio site, it all works pretty much fine until i added a different welcome with just one bit of text in the centre of the page (which effectively is just one huge button to take you to the Start Page in the above tutorial which has the flying menu in the ‘start’ position in the centre of the Splash).

Since adding a page before the flying menu, when i click ny new ‘huge button welcome page’ and effectively go to my frame 2 in the sequence (which is actually frame 1 for the above tutorial) The flying menu has already ‘flown’ up to the top right corner…

i know this is probably a stupid small error and easy fix but i just cant manage it since i am new to Flash. Any have any idea of what i need to do to the existing Action Script to have the flying meun start on the second frame instead of the first?

Hi there, i have used this tutorial extensively to help with one of my projects!

I am using the thumb scroller class / script / whatever you wish to call it and I need the scroller to stop scrolling once it has reached the end of the movie clip, is there any way to do this?? I have searched all over the net and cant seem to find a solution that doesnt involve XML :/

I really need an answer ASAP please!!!

Really I have no clue how to begin to process this, but really need to understand because I taking a class using action script. I can’t open the file. I was hoping for a tutorial that walked me through the process.

I am stuck at the same spot. Are you using CS4? I absolutely cannot figure out how to do this to continue. HELP!
