Why in the world am I selling such a Successful Website?
Some of you may know the story of how I got into the web design niche, but for those of you who don’t, it’s important you know why to know why I’m selling. When I was 15 years old I used a forum called GameRenders.com, I didn’t know much about graphic design, I just loved the whole trading process they had on the forum and thought I could easily do the same. A lot of small forums grew from members on GR so I decided to do it myself, naming it ShoutGFX.com, the funny thing is I didn’t even know a thing about graphic design or what GFX stands for, just knew it was a term used, ofcourse I now know it is graphics. In 6 months my forum grew to around 100,000 posts and thousands of members just to be hacked by many competing graphic forums because I was knew and completly dominated the niche they had been in for years. Realising I couldn’t keep patching the forum I decided to move onto a similar niche because I knew something about it, which was web design, however my only knowledge is creating websites in tables which I’m sure a lot of you don’t like the sound of today. Since starting it in 2006 a lot has change, you can see parts of our time line right at the bottom.
So why sell I hear you ask? I really don’t know that much about the design side of things just the entrepreneurship side and don’t feel my passion is in it. Also I have 3 large sites and I really need to concentrate on IncomeDiary and either R21 or WebDesignDev had to go and R21 is about something I’m very passionate about so it seemed only right to let this site go.
Traffic Details:
Visitors is between 155,000 and 200,000 monthly, this is accurate unlike most other sales you see online where they use Awstats which basically is double or even more what you actually get.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: We mentioned the sponsored tweets contest and although our site is about webdesign we got nearly as much as Shoemoney and John Chow did to get people to sign up as users so we do have a great pulling power. We don’t even sell sponsored tweets and I would say our Twitter account is the best in the web design niche apart from sitepoint. I’m not saying it’s got potential, it’s already proven to bring great traffic and rank very well in Google (2000 visitors I think come daily from Google which is amazing) all I haven’t done is worked on monetizing the posts and doing any affiliate stuff just because I have other big sites, decided 1 had to go and this is the subject I knew the least about.
As for costs, I pay the writer 50% to write everything, however I think he would do it for a flat fee of less then $500 and is English and works long hours. The only other cost is hosting and it’s just on my server so no idea how much it would cost. It also has a closed forum because yet again I didn’t want to look after it which is a shame because they were really active members.
Just looking for offers at this stage, if I feel a offer is good then I will proceed with it instead of listing it, I don’t expect to have to list it as I want to keep it a private sale.
