When designing a logo, I always design in grayscale, and then move on to adding color. This is because a logo doesn’t need to rely on color to make it stand out from the crowd. The most important bit is that it looks good in all colors, including black and white.
Here is my compiled showcase of logos that look very professional, but have a very simplistic design. Let me know what one you think is the best, and if you have found anymore that deserve to be on the list. Thanks to LogoPond, LogoFaves and LogoSpire for showcasing these logos on your site.

I love this write up and the collection of logos goes very well with your first paragraph. If it’s not powerful with black and white then it won’t shine with color.
Ty for the post

I love how all of these logos convey not only the name of the company, but the expression of the company. Merging design and typography is a favorite of mine. Simple. Clean.

It was nice post. I want to know how to make good and easy logos in vector graphics? Is there any idea how to make it. I tried inkscape for making logos but I didn;t accomplished what I was looking for. I just need a simple and easy logo in Vector Graphic.
