Layouts are generally easy to slice you can do it by layers like i used to do but i find that that is a bad habit it is best to slice it so if you have a menu slice a 1px width slice and use the css repeat-x to replicate it. Search google for css tutorials or you can checkout hv-designs.co.uk.
