Great tutorial, both detailed and clear. My first time designing a website in photoshop was for my main site and I remember feeling my way through the design. I wish I'd read this first, it would have saved me a lot of time.

Gini's last blog post..Remove Image Background in Photoshop Using the Magic Extractor Tool

Pip, Lorem Ipsum just looks the most like actual paragraphs of text. Its a good thing to put in without actually being a language.

Very inspirational, particularly if you are thinking of modifying default templates - it is much 'purer' to design in Photoshop and then get the default templates shoehorned in... Also, the techniques are great, I have never used inner glow on a square-style shape and would not even think to do so. One gripe, the lorem ipsum stuff. WHO DECIDED THAT IT ALWAYS HAD TO BE LOREM IPSUM??? Words are mere shapes on the page to my graphics professional friends (honestly), however, what is wrong with working with your copy and your design at the same time?

"Creating a Hosting Template Using Adobe Photoshop" Just why did you add that "hosting" ?.
I think people will as well use it for creating their website, not only hosting.
well anyways that was short and easy tutorial.
